Celestials roster

Named Celestials in Exodus: The Archimedes Engine — Now and Forever Queens, Wynid court, archons, foreign dominion peers, hardline operators, and historical figures. Each entry links to a dedicated page. Full spoilers.

How Celestial names work

Imperial Celestials use double names: the first element is the mindline originator (stable across hosts); the second is the current host body (e.g. Makaio-Yalbo → Makaio-Faraji; Helena-Chione; later composite Helena-Thyra). Queens title themselves Now and Forever Queen of a home system. Children not chosen as mindline hosts are new life. Congregant daughters of queens compete in trials for elevation. Because the host element changes, one figure can appear under more than one full name across the story — and is often referred to by the mindline element alone, as with Makaio or Uulana.

Now and Forever Queens (Crown Dominion)

  • Helena-Chione — Queen of Wynid; usurped mindline becomes Helena-Thyra
  • Carolien-Amaia — Queen of Verak; rotating Empress during main crisis; palace fall
  • Luus (Luus-Kinza / Luus-Marcela) — Queen of Bassa; prior Empress who hands throne to Carolien
  • Ramona-Ursule — Queen of Nizinsk; hosts Thyra’s politics trial
  • Inessa-Pierina — Queen of Cheluli; peer queen of the Imperial Accord
  • Zuberi-Dulcina — Former Queen of Kelowan (deceased); Accord founded against her

There are historically six founding houses, one per home system, and dialogue often speaks of five remaining royal houses after Zuberi’s extinction. See Crown Dominion.

Wynid royal household & congregants

  • Thyra — Congregant → princess → Helena-Thyra; hardline usurper; Bekket’s daughter
  • Clavissa — Jolav’s daughter; trial survivor; nanny/spy under Helena-Thyra
  • Bekket (“Oneshot”) — Uixic count; Thyra’s father; Master of the Court after coup
  • Lord Jolav (Jolav-Dabny) — Consort of Helena; Clavissa’s father; residual opposition
  • Lord Valdier (Valdier-Mímir) — Helena’s father; Master of the Court (pre-coup era)
  • Siskala — Major, Royal Tiger Guard; Helena’s “new life” daughter
  • Malquilvo — Court parent; killed after Binji trial accusations
  • Uulana (Lyon / Shoigu) — Court investigator murdered; later infiltrated chief-archon identity

Further congregants appear without dedicated articles here: Liata, Valeri, Delfina, Noasla, Salfina, Oujanya (a princess compelled into the navy), Bennu, Jomana, and Heba (princesses in court scenes).

Wynid / Crown archons & court officers

  • Lord Gahiji (Gahiji-Calder) — Chief Archon to Helena; displaced under hardliners
  • Makaio (Yalbo → Faraji) — Spymaster; Dolod warning; Makaio-Spirit in Terence
  • Neusch — Makaio’s gifted son; residual investigation
  • Lord Stethos-Thierry — Court datamaster to Helena
  • Acelynn — Chief Archon to Carolien of Verak
  • Asahi-Iryna — Hardline archon; pursues the Diligent and foreign archons
  • Avone-Valerio — Hardline general; Gondiar occupation
  • Radwarno — Verak fleet commander; ordered to capture Diligent

Foreign dominion Celestials

  • Olomo — Archon of the Heresy Dominion; hexapod; first flags Dolod
  • Sahdiah — Archon of the Talloch-Te; five-eyed primary body; Traveler tasking; Dolod convergence

Further peer polities appear without dedicated archon articles here: Gomatu (Dyson sphere, Dolod’s old vector), Ratarajan (Hoa Quinzu warnings), Mara Yama (external threat pretext), and Uthara / Capo Frois (annexation targets).

Covert / deniable Celestial operators

  • Dagon — Offworld contact; Gyvoy Enfoe imposture network; revealed as Thyra’s uncle

Related cutouts are often mistaken for pure “human” crime. Two of them are Celestial work wearing another face: Gyvoy Enfoe is the imposture shell, and Iuntin-Detlef stands behind Uulana-Shoigu. Below them sits a genuinely human mercenary layer — Liliana, Toše, and Medusa. See their character pages under humans and Travelers.
